Kaili Provisioning Yard
Providing safe and efficient rail access for Bowen Rail Company’s next-generation train fleet.
Building for the future
The Kaili Provisioning Yard near Abbot Point near Bowen, in north Queensland, is an important part of the Bowen Rail Company’s plans for the safe and efficient stabling and maintenance of its rollingstock fleet. The $15 million rail yard was constructed in 2022 and will play a critical part in the Bowen Rail Company’s long-term operating plans.
BRC partnered with local Bowen company Hillery Group to construct the new rail yard, where its rollingstock fleet is serviced. The project is another example of BRC’s commitment to providing local jobs and business opportunities for workers and businesses in the Whitsunday region.
