Community Partnership Program
Our Community Partnership Program assists not-for-profit organisations and community groups with the purchase of small assets that can make a big difference – things like a new microwave for your school or sports canteen, netball bibs, kickboards for swimming training or footy boots for new players.
This annual program is awarded bi-annually in May and November.
Guidelines and Criteria
The Bowen Rail Company Community Partnership Program makes positive financial contributions to communities where we live and work. Each year, the Community Partnership Program offers two rounds of funding for community groups and not-for-profit initiatives, projects and programs. A maximum of $2,000 per applicant is granted in each round.
Eligibility
To be eligible, your school, group, business or association must be registered in one of the Local Government Areas listed below:
- Whitsunday Regional Council
- Isaac Regional Council
Applicants must be a registered not-for-profit group or organisation based in Australia and possess an ABN that aligns with the registered name of the organisation.
All requests for funding from the Community Partnership Program must be submitted via the Application Form on the Bowen Rail Company website. Funds must be used in the way they were applied for.
What is not eligible for funding?
Bowen Rail Company will not provide community investment support to organisations or initiatives that are:
- For profit, without clear community connections
- Discriminating on the basis of race, gender, ethnicity or lifestyle
- Supporting individuals
- Involved in advocacy or lobbying
- Projects of programs that would ordinarily be fully funded by and level of government.
Corporate Sponsorships
Bowen Rail Company offers a limited number of corporate sponsorship opportunities that provide funds, resources or services that in turn support our corporate reputation and strategic goals, particularly on a local or regional level.
Partnering with strategic organisations to help drive community programs and community priorities is an important part of our sponsorships approach outlined in our Corporate Sponsorship Framework.
